Data Collector – Multi-functional GIS with cellular data and voice
The T8™ is the newest edition to the T-series™ GPS handhelds introduced by Nexteq Navigation. Designed as a multi-functional GIS data collector, the T8 integrates voice recording, photo, cellular voice and data, Bluetooth® and microSD™ slot into a lightweight and durable package.
Combined with a long-lasting battery, an outdoor-readable 3.5” touch screen color LCD and solid waterproof / dustproof protection, the T8 offers users an ideal solution for field work.
Equipped with NexGeo™ data collection software running on the Windows Mobile® 6.5 operating system, the T8 provides end users an open, flexible and scalable solution for all possible applications. The T8 also supports third-party Windows Mobile applications.
Features:
- High-sensitivity GPS receiver: for applications in harsh environments, the T8 is an ideal choice with its built-in high sensitivity GPS that provides real time positions with better than 2 meters accuracy with SBAS coverage. An external GPS antenna can further improve the positioning accuracy.
- Bluetooth and wireless LAN capabilities: the T8 can connect to other devices or networks, and transfer information through integrated Bluetooth and wireless LAN.
- Wireless data and voice capability: stay connected to the office by making voice calls or transferring data over cellular networks. By enabling the tracking function, managers can monitor the workforce in real-time for their safety and quick decision making.
- Gravity sensor: the built-in gravity sensor can sense when the T8 has fallen and will trigger an alarm, thereby protecting against the loss of costly hardware.
- Digital compass and Barometric altimeter: in harsh environments with weak GPS signals, the embedded digital compass and barometric altimeter can still provide direction and altitude information.
- 3 Megapixel digital camera: provides visual record that could be transferred immediately using the wireless data or LAN functions.
- microSD™ cards slot: supporting up to 8GB (2GB card included with handheld)
- Ruggedized enclosure: rated IP66 and will withstand a drop up to 1.5 meters making it well-suited for harsh environments.
